Central Coast Studios will be a world leading facility for film and television production, servicing the needs of the many global and domestic production companies who wish to film in Australia but are currently unable to find an available facility of international standards.

Specifically, this facility will provide:

10 State-of-the-art sound stages and Australia’s largest water tank for filming

Stage sizes purpose-built with the height, width, and proportions required for global big-budget feature films, while also perfectly suited to support Australia’s thriving domestic productions.

Stages are designed to best-practice industry standards, incorporating advanced sound insulation, high-capacity power, overhead grids and gantries, climate control, integrated communications, comprehensive fire safety systems, vehicle and personnel access

Specialist acoustic engineering guarantees exceptional external noise control for flawless production sound.

Central Coast Studios provides a full suite of workshop facilities on-site and through trusted off-site partners. Designed for flexibility, these spaces can be tailored and scaled to meet the unique requirements of any production.

Purpose-designed production support areas are conveniently located to service every stage.

All stages and support areas feature an international-standard fit-out, including integrated communications, climate control, high-capacity power, advanced fire safety, office furnishings, kitchenettes, make-up room facilities, and on-site laundry.

Exterior water tank: 20m (65.6ft) in diameter and 8m (26ft) deep, holding 9.6 million litres — the largest of its kind in Australia.

A 180-room, 3.5-star hotel with ample parking will provide cast, crew, and visitors the convenience of staying on-site — reducing travel, cutting costs, and enhancing the full production experience.

Every stage and support space is built with superior technical infrastructure — NC-rated air conditioning, high-voltage power, and extensive roof and floor load capacities. All studios allow direct vehicle and truck access, with thoughtful consideration given to power distribution, roof heights, floor levels, loading points, and door placement. From personnel access to scenery, props, and fire safety, every detail is designed with production in mind. To reduce costs and our carbon footprint, all stages will incorporate solar panels, while electricity, air-conditioning, and telephones will operate on a simple user-pays system — ensuring transparent billing, streamlined maintenance, and worry-free operations.
